| Located just south of Soliman Bay, between
Akumal and Tulum, is Tankah. This place is another gem along the Riviera
Maya. Lined with gorgeous little vacation homes, Tankah bay is a great
place to snorkel, not just in the bay, where the reef is close to
the shore, but also in Cenote Manatee, a natural swimming pool which
lies directly behind Casa Cenote restaurant. The crystalline waters
slowly flow out from the caves, beneath the mangrove, which surround
the cenote, and then through the pool and out a natural tunnel that
passes under the restaurant and comes out in a large hole in the bay
just in front of Casa Cenote. Truly an incredible work of nature! |
